The city Machida is mostly known for it's accessible transits to and from Tokyo, but it's also a metropolis of little shops and restaurants. With no agenda or shopping necessity in mind we explored numerous little Japanese shops, clothing, home goods, tech, and everything in-between.

We found a store called, "Bigcamera" which turned out to be a computer, luggage, stationary, and phone accessory store. Now if you are into gaming this was the holy grail for gamers, my husband faithfully plays Tarkov every night so gaming accessories are a must when we are out shopping. Any type of brand, color, make, or model you could ask for this store had it!

Of course while we were out I couldn't pass up browsing the clothing section, but to my surprise these particular shops in this area were geared toward a much older shopper. Needless to say I didn't make any purchases, but it was really interesting to see the "high-end" Japanese name brand apparel.

We made our way up to the ninth floor where all the restaurants were, and aimlessly walked around looking at the "fake" food displays to see what looked appealing. At most of these restaurants nothing is in english, but outside of the restaurants they have display cases with fake replicas of there food items which we were able to decipher well enough to make a decision. The place we ate at wound up being very tasty, they seat you with warm towels to clean your hands prior to consumption which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the Japanese green tea (which I have been dying to try) they brought out a small cup with a clear tea infuser and I was completely blown away! This stuff is so good like I want to purchase some just to have at home.

After dinner the guys wanted dessert so we went to a place called, The Fruit Parlor. As you can guess they primarily sell items with fruit in it, sandwiches, ice cream, yogurts, and coffee's. The guys ordered parfaits and said they were delicious! This area had heavy foot traffic and it could keep you busy for hours with stores on every corner. If you have something specific to shop for this is definitely the place to be.

Anytime we leave the house and explore somewhere new I am thankful for the unique opportunity to do so, life with this Army man is greater than I ever imagined!
