My husband was actually at home
Nights with him beside me
Endless episodes of forensic files ( his favorite)
Cooking together
Laughing and constant joking
Senseless arguments
Memories

Machida, Tokyo
See these things may seem small, or insignificant, or even the “bad parts” of a marriage/relationship to most people but to this Army wife it’s the moments I look forward to. Those moments even when we are mad at one another at least it’s face to face and we will eventually forgive without hesitation. Covid has been a double edged sword to say the least, first it kept me apart from my husband for 6 months then it allowed me to join him, move in, and begin our lives together uninterrupted. Everyday that I get to see his handsome face I am elated, this is all I ever wanted. My husband still has to go into the office but he always comes home at night and there were even some days he got to work from home which I was thankful for, I didn’t mind Covid raising it’s ugly head in this instance because that meant more time with him.
Now Covid restrictions seem to be lifting all over the world and Japan is no exception. We get excited everytime our area of travel is extended out and we can finally explore this beautiful country more. Most people have viewed all of this isolation negatively and it really can be, but for us it's been a worthwhile adventure!
Things to try when Covid gives you more time together:
Learning how to cook something new
Finding a show to watch together
Planning a movie night
Decorating the house
Explore a new town/neighborhood
Trying new types of foods
Exercising together
Giving each other space (sometimes it's okay to have alone time)
Now I know these may not seem like the most glamorous or exciting activities but, we have learned so much about one another and grown as a couple because of it. This is consecutively the most amount of time I've been able to spend beside my husband & I'm not willing to take a single second for granted.

Beautiful spot we found in Japan
